Workshop wonders XIX.
We never see our own faces except through a mirror but are constantly seen by others and see others’ faces. How does this make us feel? In the age of the Selfie and of COVID, we are questioning even more how we reveal and conceal our faces, the masks we put on and take off. Learn how to make a wearable mask and in the process, learn about the symbolism, seeing and emotions around the face and masking!
A face-to-face writing workshop presented by Dr Tinni Choudhury.
This workshop will explore audience reactions to the exhibition Unmasked; share what you feel. How will you present your experience through text?
Join us for an informative discussion where a panel of experts will discuss the benefits of art for mental health.
Logan Art Gallery Coordinator Michael Wardell will be the MC for the event. The panel members are principal creative of Unmasked Sharka Bosakova, Alison Lee from Heartwork and Vice president of the Council of Australia Postgraduate Associations Mick Fox.
The talk will be accompanied by a Butoh dance performance by Megan Janet White of Theatre of Thunder.
